Help using the Horden Parish Council website
Navigation around the site
Horden parish council has taken care to ensure navigation around this site is as user-friendly as possible.
The main navigation panel on the left hand side of the screen provides links to the main sections of the site. The navigation panel expands to show the sub-sections of the main links and also indicates the current page the user is on. The links and pages around the site are colour coded to represent different sections, which is designed to provide added familiarity and use-ability.
The home page provides quick links into each of the sites main sections for users visiting the site who which to gain instant access to particular items of information.
Viewing & Downloading Documents
Documents downloaded from this site are in either “.doc” or “.pdf” format. This means to view or open the downloaded content you will need to have a version of Microsoft Word (.doc) or Adobe Reader (.pdf) on your computer.
To enable you to know the document format before you download it, the following symbols are displayed next to each of the download links.

Adobe Reader is available to download free of charge, a link to download a copy has been made available in the “External Links” panel at the bottom left hand side of the page. When opening a document from this site, it will open in a new window meaning this website will remain open behind the downloaded document.
Search Facility
This site includes a search facility, which is located near the top right of every page. This facility can be useful to locate information quickly by simply entering the names of specific meetings or events etc. Searching the site is simple and is carried out by entering any text and clicking the search button. The search tool will then pick up any text on the site, which matched your search and will provide a link to the page where the particular content is on.
